Fresh from the election observation deployment in Ekiti state, our elections team and cohort of Master trainers are meeting to review strategies ahead of the July 16th, Governorship election in Osun State. Yiaga Africa through its WTV project had deployed its cohort of 41 Master Trainers across LGAs to train 541 citizen observers who observed observe and report the June 18th, 2022 Governorship election in the state.

Having led over 10 election observation training across various states in Nigeria, #WatchingTheVote Master Trainer Loretta Gbegbaje is leading discussion on systematic election observation ahead of the July 16th, Governorship election in Osun State.

Ahead of the July 16, Governorship election, Master Trainers will train citizen observers on the election day process like accreditation, voting, sorting and counting and announcement of election results. Observers were also exposed to various guidelines guiding election and election observation.

Yiaga Africa’s WatchingTheVote is committed to providing accurate information on the conduct of elections and independently verifying the accuracy of election results. Yiaga Africa will be deploying 562 non-partisan citizen observers for the July 16, 2022 Governorship election in Osun state.
