
Chinemerem Onuorah is a youth-advancement enthusiast, as well as an advocate for gender-equality. She also has robust interest in good governance, advocacy and feminism. She believes and works towards the achievement of a world where young women and men have the opportunity and platforms to showcase their revolutionary and innovative leadership skills.
At Yiaga Africa, she provides support to projects and programmes on communications and ensures that they get visibility and reach target audiences.
Her personal vision includes a safe world where women and girls can attain the peak of their potentials; a world where all forms of inequality in public and private life is fully eliminated; and a world where young women and men with capacity and competence are leaders.
She likes to read fiction, watch comedy and spy movies and pick the minds of people who believe equality is unattainable.
She holds a degree in Mass Communication, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and currently works as a Communications and Programs Associate at Yiaga Africa. She has written several published pieces on topics relating to leadership in Africa, women's representation in politics, and the state of democracy in Nigeria.
