1. Introduction
Yiaga Africa is seeking proposals from experienced media production companies or individuals to support the end-to-end production of a high-quality podcast. The podcast aims to raise Awareness on socio-norms, Amplify Voices – Provides a platform for marginalised voices, including women, young people and gender rights advocates. Promote Dialogue – Encourage open and constructive conversations on socio-cultural issues and solutions. Challenge Biases – Debunk myths and misconceptions about gender roles and expectations. Advocate for Policy Change – Highlight gender-based policies and advocate for reforms that promote inclusivity and equity. Empower Listeners – Share success stories, insights, and tools to inspire action toward gender justice. Foster Inclusivity – Promote a society where all individuals, regardless of gender, can thrive equally.
The selected vendor will be responsible for recording, editing, and producing engaging audio and video content, ensuring professional quality, and managing the technical aspects of production.
2. Scope of Work
The selected service provider will be responsible for the following:
Pre-Production:
- Collaborate with our team to develop a podcast production plan.
- Assist in episode structuring, scripting, and content planning.
- Identify and secure an appropriate recording location if required.
- Provide or recommend necessary production equipment.
Production:
- Record high-quality audio and video for each episode.
- Ensure proper sound mixing, lighting, and visual aesthetics.
- Manage technical aspects such as microphones, cameras, and recording software.
- Provide on-site support for a seamless recording experience.
Post-Production:
- Edit and mix audio for clarity, consistency, and professional sound quality.
- Edit video footage to create polished and engaging content.
- Add background music, intros, and outros as needed.
- Generate subtitles or captions if required.
- Ensure all final files meet publishing platform requirements.
Distribution & Marketing:
- Assist in uploading episodes to podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok etc.).
- Provide social media-friendly promotional clips and graphics.
3. Deliverables
- Fully produced podcast episodes, each lasting
- High-quality audio and video recordings in multiple formats.
- Edited and finalised episodes ready for distribution.
- Promotional materials for marketing and audience engagement.
- A content production schedule ensuring timely delivery.
4. Eligibility Criteria
Interested vendors must meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in podcast or media production (submit a portfolio or past work).
- Access to professional audio and video equipment.
- Strong post-production editing skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
5. Proposal Submission Requirements
Interested vendors should submit a proposal including:
- Company/Individual Profile: Background, experience, and expertise.
- Portfolio: Links to previous podcast or media production work.
- Approach & Methodology: Outline of how the production will be executed.
- Budget Breakdown: Detailed cost estimate for pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Timeline: Estimated delivery schedule for each stage.
- References: At least two client references.
6. Selection Process & Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Experience and portfolio (25%)
- Technical capability and quality of previous work (20%)
- Proposed methodology and approach (20%)
- Budget and cost-effectiveness (25%)
- References and past client feedback (10%)
