Stay up-to-date on African elections

In 2024, 17 African nations, with a total population of approximately 310 million, will conduct elections. Of this population, 58% – translating to more than 180 million individuals – are eligible to cast their votes. Mauritius leads these countries with the highest voter eligibility rate at 80%. Conversely, in Chad and Mali, the eligible voting population is less than 50%, primarily because a significant portion of their populations is below the age of 18.
