Yakubu who spoke while receiving a delegation of the #NotTooYoungToRun Campaign said, “ If we must succeed as a nation,we must recognize the talents trapped in young people to help build them to surpass and sustain what has been laid”.

He said, “We must begin to develop our youth, it’s better they are given a chance and they fail, rather than they were never given a chance.”

The speaker urged the youths not to seek for independent candidacy but stressed the need for political parties to ensure some forms of affirmative action to protect the nation’s youth when the age reduction into political offices is passed into law.

Meanwhile, the Head Research Policy and Advocacy, Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement (YIAGA) and the #NotTooYoungToRun campaign Samson Itodo commended the Speaker on his support and  commitment to youth development and inclusion in Governance.
