PROF. DAKAS C. DAKAS

A scholar of international repute and Professor of Law. He is a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Plateau state. (Chairman, Board of Trustee). Currently, he is the HOD Department of International Law in the Institute of Advanced Legal studies, Supreme Court Abuja.

Professor Dakas CJ Dakas is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and currently the Head of the Department of International Law, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Abuja, Nigeria. A former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Plateau State, Professor Dakas holds a first class honours law degree as well as postgraduate law degrees, including a Ph.D, from renowned universities within and outside Nigeria; has been a Visiting Professor at a Canadian University; has received several meritorious awards for superlative academic performance; and has to his credit over sixty (60) publications, consisting of books, edited books, chapters in books and articles in reputable local and international journals. He is the Chair of the Board of Youth Action Initiative Africa.

 

PROF. NNAMDI ADUBA

A renowned constitutional and human rights lawyer and professor of Law.

Professor Nnamdi Aduba is social critic, lecturer with the Faculty of Law of the University of Jos. He is the immediate past Professorial Chair of the Institute of Advanced legal studies. He is widely published in several local and international journals. He areas of interest are Constitutional Law, Family Law, Mass Communication Law, Nigerian Legal System, Criminology and Penology.

 

CHRIS KWAJA

A conflict mitigation specialist. He is the Director General, Directorate of Research, Planning and Documentation in the office of the Governor of Plateau state.

Profile

Mr. chris Kwaja holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science as well as Masters of Science in International Relations and Strategic Studies, from the University of Jos, Nigeria. Prior to his appointment as Director-General, Research and Planning in the Governor’s Office, Jos, Plateau State, he was a Lecturer / Researcher with the Centre for Conflict Management and Peace Studies, University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria. He is Doctoral Candidate of International Relations and Strategic Studies of the Political Science Department of the University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria, where he is researching on Security Sector Reform and Peace-building in Liberia. He is well known in the civil society community in Nigeria and beyond. He is also a member of the Board of Youth Action Initiative Africa.
